Cole Millerd - P/U So Cal Premier

So Cal Premier went 4-0 on the weekend. The offense and defense continue to keep this team at the top.

Cole Millerd P/U was on fire! On the mound he dominated, shutting out O'Keiki Baseball and only allowing 3 hits. He pitched a complete 9 inning game, struck out 12 and only walked 1. "My arm felt better than ever" Millerd said. "I worked hard all week to prepare for this weekend, stretching it out and hitting in the cage." Well the hard work paid off for the red-shirt freshman from Saddleback Junior College who is off to a great start this season. Millerd was hot at the plate as well, going 6 for 10 w/1 BB, 5 R, 3 2B and 2 RBI.

Justin Lawler pitched a complete game against Playhard Baseball. Lawler struck out 9 batters and only allowed 2 hits.

Cole Bacon turned it on this weekend with 5H, 1R, 6 RBI, 1BB, 2 3B, 2 SB and 1 SCF. There was a home run that was reduced to a triple after Play Hard Baseball contested that Bacon failed to touch home plate, and won their appeal. Bacon also pitched the final inning of the weekend. Throwing 10 pitches, allowing no hits, no runs and striking out one.

Andrew Frank RHP/U started off the weekend with a bang, going 2 for 3 w/2 3B and 2 R. He went on to finish the weekend with 5 H, 3 R, 1 RBI and 2 BB. Frank pitched 1 and 1/3 innings and struck out four batters

Austin Vasquez SS/2B got hot, picking up 5 H, 1 2B, 4 R, 4 RBI, 1 SCB and 1 SB.

Tony Rogari C/1B toughed it out this weekend and picked up injured teammate Jake Pulcheon by doing most of the catching. He also swung the bat well with 3 H, 2 BB, 1 HBP and 2 SCB.

Chase Sisco pitched 5 innings against the ATH Grizzlies and struck out 8 batters. He also had 1 H, 2 BB and 1 SB.

Jacob Boney pitched very well, coming in to relieve Sisco, he faced the ATH Grizzlies. He threw 4 innings, allowing no runs and only 3 hits. Boney also picked up 5 H, 3 R, 5 RBI, 2 BB, 1 HBP and 1 2B.

Keoni Mortenson grabbed himself 3 H and 2 R.

Daren Preece pitched 4 and 2/3 innings against O'Keiki Baseball, striking out 6 and allowed 3 runs on 3 hits.

Jake Pulcheon suffered an injury to his hand in the first game, and moved over to 1B for the remainder of the weekend. He struggled at the plate all weekend racking up 5 Ks and only 1 H, 1 BB and 1 SCF.

Caleb Meyer 1 2B, 2 BB and 1 SB and Ryan McConnell 2 BB, 1 R, and 1 SCB.

The upcoming weekend should be an exciting one; Premier is going up against the So Cal Outlaws on Saturday April 12, 2014 at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Premier's record is 1-1 against the Outlaws. Sunday will be the first meeting between So Cal Premier and Highlanders baseball. Good Luck to all the teams.
