When does the league start?

Pre-Season games will begin as early as February 1st. Official Opening weekend for the ABCL Redshirt League is March 5-6.

How many games do you play?

32 Scheduled League Games plus Pre-Season & Playoffs. (Rain could effect games)

Is it Wood Bat or BBCOR?

Wood Bat or Wood Composite Only

How many teams are in the league?

League will consist of 8-10 Teams Per Division.

How do you tryout?

Please Email: joespiers1@hotmail.com - Tryouts will Run in the months of December through January and we will continue to take players through Feb or until teams are full. We tryout the players and place on teams within the league based on teams roster and position needs.

Yes

My son is home schooled - can he join the league?

Yes

Who are the coaches?

Coaches in the Spring league are generally affiliated with a Travel Club or High School Team and are generally professional coaches/instructors with excellent baseball backgrounds.

Where do you play?

The ABCL Redshirt League will be centered around the Inland Empire, Orange County, and LA County. You can find most of our field locations here.

What uniform do you wear?

Each team has their own uniform players will wear when placed on a team. Many players will already have a uniform for thier club team that is entering the league.

What are the league rules?

League rules are posted here and included in coaches and players packet. Similar to college baseball with added features to allow teams to hit lineup and free defensive substitutions.

Can College players play?

Yes - Redshirt Freshman.

What is the age limit?

There is no set limit

Is it competitive league?

Yes, D1 is the equivalent of a good Varsity level of play

When does the league start?

Opening Day is March 5th

Are there practices?

Some teams have workouts and others do not. Majority of the teams do not train and the league is more focused on development within the games, playing more games and swinging a wood bat.

How many players are on a roster?

Each team is different but will average 13-15 position players plus 5-6 Pitchers Only.

How does playing time work?

Each Coach has their own philosophy but it has not been an issue in the past. 

Can I change teams during the year?

No unless unique circumstance and agreed on by the two coaches.
